Is the building climate controlled?

We just installed a brand new climate control system, which is reflected in the price for 2026. The climate control is for the time of event only as we are not insulated.

When do we have access to property?

Access to property varies based on package chosen. For the One Perfect Day Package and Endless Summer Package access to the venue is from 10am to midnight on the same day, with possible earlier access to the getting ready space. For The Forever Weekend Package you have access to the property the day before your wedding as early as 9 am, till the day after at 3 pm for the whole weekend package.

When is check out/Clean-up?

Clean-up for The One Perfect Day Package & Endless Summer Package is to be complete by midnight. The Forever Weekend Package has till the following day by 3pm.  Clean-up includes all decor and rentals.

Can we add an additional day to accommodations?

For the Forever Weekend Package, additional days for the on-site accommodations can be added for an additional fees. It is possible to add overnight one night accommodation to The Forever Weekend Package & Endless Summer Package for a fee.

Can rentals be picked up after rental period?

All rentals must be removed by the end of the rental period. We cannot allow any rentals to remain inside the venue due to cleaning schedules. We recommend discussing pickup options with your rental companies to ensure compliance with our guidelines.

How many people do the houses fit?

The Kasson on site house has the following: bedroom with a queen, bedroom with 3 twins, pull out couch in living room, trundle bed in second living room (two twins) as well as a cot, and a queen bed in master bedroom- total of 12 people bed wise. There is plenty of additional space as well for cots or air mattresses. 

 

The Lakes on site house has the following: bedroom with king, bedroom with queen, mini living room with trundle (two twins), bedroom with king, bedroom with twin and full, and a cot- total of 12, with plenty of room for cots and air mattresses.

There are three sheds located on site as well, each with queen bed and sofa bed. Each cabin can fit 2-4.

 

We allow tenting and campers for additional fee as well.

Is there any additional housing near by for other guests?

There are a few hotels locally as well as plenty of Airbnbs. We have had numerous weddings provide shuttle services from local hotels. To list a few: Wyndham Hotel in Middlebury and Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT. There are a few boutique hotels in Litchfield as well.

Can we have rehearsal dinner on site?

You can have rehearsal dinner onsite for no additional fee for The Forever Weekend Package! However, we do not provide in between cleaning or transitional services. Any messes made by rehearsal dinner would be up to you to clean prior to wedding. For that reason, we always recommend that rehearsal dinners happen at one of the onsite accommodations- so that any mess created doesn’t interfere with set up for wedding! Rehearsal dinner is not permitted of The One Perfect Day or Endless Summer Packages.

Are there  additional fees?

We require an insurance rider for all time on property. This typically runs an extra $100-500 and is bought through an insurance company of your choosing. Also, If you have guests that would like to bring campers on site, we would charge additional fee- campers only permitted for The Forever Weekend Package. We also charge an empty venue fee if you'd like to bring in your own furniture.

Do you provide wedding planning services or transitional services?

We do not provide wedding planning services. We highly suggest booking a wedding planner or day of coordinator for your big day! We can supply a few recommendations upon request. We also do not provide transitional services day of event (changing layout from ceremony to cocktail to reception, clean ups, etc), and for that reason we always suggest a day of coordinator,  wedding planner, or full catering service company. Wedding planners are required for The One Perfect Day & Endless Summer Packages- but not required for The Forever Weekend Package.

How does setup work?

For the Forever Weekend Package- a week before the wedding, you will send Wyndcrest your reception layout—which we will set up for you! This layout can be drawn by hand, made on a computer, etc.! We aren’t picky! We store furniture off-site, so it is important that the layout includes all tables and chairs needed for the event. For chapel ceremonies, we set up chairs for you inside chapel. If lawn ceremony, we leave chairs stacked on site for set up by your hired crew.

The One Perfect Day & Endless Summer Packages, The layout for both packages will be selected from two available options. The ceremony will take place in the chapel, where chairs will already be set up. This arrangement allows us to efficiently prepare for the following wedding.

Will you be onsite the entire weekend?

We are not onsite the entire weekend for The Forever Weekend Package; however, we always have a contractor on call and co-manager who lives on the farm for any immediate issues. Prior to the weekend, we do a walkthrough and explain lights, locks, and the bathroom! The One Perfect Day & Endless Summer Packages- we are on site at the beginning of the day to unlock, lights, and turn on bathroom and back at night to close up. The rest would be up to wedding planner or hired crew.

Who can I use for catering?

You are welcome to use whoever you’d like for catering for The Forever Weekend Package! If you need suggestions, we can always provide them. The One Perfect Day & Endless Summer Packages  do have a preferred list that is required to chose from in order to ensure smooth transition for the next wedding

 

 

Can we supply our own alcohol?

You can supply your own alcohol, but cannot charge guests for the alcohol for The Forever Weekend  package. If you plan on charging guests for the alcohol, then an insured company with a liquor permit would be required. Furthermore, the insurance rider must include alcohol liability regardless of how alcohol is being supplied. There are also plenty of mobile alcohol caterers locally that we would love to recommend at your request. The One Perfect Day & Endless Summer Packages, catered alcohol is required

 

 

Is parking included?

There is plenty of parking on-site for no additional fee.

 

 

Do you book anything else besides weddings?

We do! But we always give weddings our priority. For that reason, we only book other events three months prior to dates, and it would be for a one-day rental period. Reach out for info and pricing!

Do you have a commercial kitchen for caterer use?

We do not have a commercial kitchen for caterer use. When shopping for a caterer, they may ask this. Depending on the type of serving style chosen, the caterer may have to rent a mobile kitchen, tent, etc., and pass this cost to you—just something to be aware of in the budgeting process!

 

 

Can we hang tapestries and décor?

Anything that requires the use of a ladder must be done by an insured company or individual. Any tapestries hung from the ceiling must be installed by a professionally insured decorating company. We do not allow the hanging of décor with certain materials, which the contract describes in detail.

 

 

Do you allow candles?

We do allow candles on the tables but require them to be either in floating water or tall glasses.

 

 

Do you allow fireworks?

We do not allow fireworks due to the safety of our farm animals.

 

 

Do you allow sparklers?

We do allow sparklers to be used outside.

 

 

Do you allow confetti?

We do not permit the use of confetti on the property, including the houses, due to the difficult nature of cleaning it up.

 

 

Do you provide cleaning supplies and toiletries?

We provide paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, and limited cleaning supplies for messes. The venue has mops and brooms as well.

Will the horses be in the field?

Depending on the time, day, and weather, horses will be up in the field during the ceremony.

Can we drive on the back lawns? 

Due to the use of the back lawns for ceremony, we do not allow cars to drive on the back lawns or the lawn between the chapel and venue

Can we bring in different furniture instead of using yours? 

Yes, you can bring in other furniture to replace ours, but we charge a empty venue fee to do so. We also cannot mix and match, so if you are bringing in new furniture we get rid of all of ours. This does not apply to cocktail hour furniture or catering tables

When does the music have to stop by? 

For the one day packages- all music must be stopped by 10 pm. For The Forever Weekend Package there is not a stop time.

Is there a dumpster on site? 

There is!

Can we supply our own alcohol? 

For the Forever Weekend Package you are allowed to supply your own alcohol, which is a great budgeting option. There are also a few companies now that supply a trailer and bartenders and you supply the alcohol, another great budgeting option. We have a lot of wedding do self serve coolers and hired bartender for mixed drinks. I like to let people that this option does involve a little more work than hiring a catering service. The one day packages have to use catered alcohol service

Can we pick our own caterers? 

​The Forever Weekend Package you can choose whoever you would like! The one day packages have to chose from our preferred list to ensure smooth transition for the next day. ​
